We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to architect, design and develop lower-level functionality for the Oura Android app in the App Platform team. This team works closely together with the Cloud Platform team, to push our app-server architecture to the next level. Other responsibilities of App Platform include - but are not limited to - developing our Bluetooth layer along with implementing support for next generation peripherals, implementing code generation tooling and finding out new frameworks and better practises to constantly keep pushing the envelope forward. We care deeply about maintaining and upgrading our code base so that it is at the forefront of technology, and actively work to get rid of legacy implementations.

What You will do:

  • Architect, design and build new features in the App Platform team
  • Collaborate closely with our adjacent platform and feature squads to create solutions that open up new capabilities
  • Collaborate closely with our Cloud Platform team to create the best possible app-server architecture going forward
  • Ensure consistency across our apps
  • Keep an eye on where the Android world is going and actively prototype and try out new frameworks and ways of working that improve our productivity
  • Work with us to develop systems to ensure we provide performant, maintainable apps and improve the developer experience as we scale

  • A solid experience developing and shipping professional Android applications
  • Mastery over Kotlin

  • You have in-depth knowledge of Wireless communications and are comfortable reviewing hardware designs and evaluating firmware implementations. Ideally you have hands-on experience working with BLE and NFC.
  • You are familiar with common security testing tools such as fuzzers.
  • You have working proficiency in the English language.

    • Write simple, clear, secure, resilient  code

    • Write unit tests

    • Review the code of others

    • Mentor your peers

    • Collaborate in and/or own the Research and Planning  of new Initiatives

  • Own and ensure the resolution of complex problems found in our systems

  • Find opportunities to broadcast knowledge and lessons learned amongst your peers

  • Blend a risk-based approach to technical choices from design to operational practice

  • Ensure patterns are in place to provide thorough automated testing at each level of the test pyramid

  • Communicate patterns and solutions through both thorough written documentation and technical presentations

Qualifications

We’re looking for an experienced, full-stack engineer. More specifically, we’re looking for:

  • Someone with experience designing, building, deploying, supporting SaaS products in a cloud-based world. You should have strong knowledge of:

    • Cloud Services and Best Practices (AWS)

    • Multiple platforms and languages (C#/.NET, Python, React, etc)

    • RESTFul APIs and MVC Web Patterns

    • Docker and virtualization technologies 

    • Operational Monitoring, Instrumentation, and Diagnostics 

  • Someone who understands fundamental computer science concepts. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have a CS degree. You should be able to describe technical design options, engineering trade-offs, making technical recommendations and decisions that balance performance and elegance with delivery and functional outcomes

  • Someone with a firm grasp of SQL and databases in general (including non-relational databases). You should know about CRUD patterns, relational design, what indexes are and why they matter, and the difference between a left join and an inner join.

  • Someone to work hand in hand with Product and UX, to design solutions that deliver business value and delight customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Due to responsibilities of this role that require elevated access to production data, the successful candidate for this position must be a US-based US citizen.

  • B.S. in Computer Science (or related field), equivalent trade school degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years in a software engineering role

  • Strong proficiency with most or all languages and technologies listed below

  • Experience working effectively in a global virtual environment 

  • Ability to design and code scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud applications.

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker)

  • Understanding of security best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS and/or Software Development certifications

Backed by Boulder Ventures, there is a shared belief that Sales Management Intelligence represents a new product category with a massive growth runway and today we have first mover advantage, a marquee list of customers, and a leadership team that has significant market experience to capitalize.

We are looking for a Head of Product to join our team and lead our next phase of product development. The role will interface directly with our users - senior sales leaders and their managers - and work cross-functionally with engineering, sales and marketing while reporting into the CEO. The startup environment will place a lot of demands on this role from strategic thinking to tactical execution, while working in an agile environment.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the founding team that has validated a new product category gaining traction. We have successfully experimented with a trial motion to improve customer acquisition this year and believe based on the fast time to value and low effort setup, the product can and should be moved to be truly product-led asap.


Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Manage the product roadmap and the supporting product releases/milestones
  • Engage with customers and prospects for user research including the formulation and testing of customer-problem-product hypotheses
  • Maintain a high-quality product backlog by facilitating the process of breaking down larger projects/features into smaller user stories
  • Bring the voice of the user into product discussions which is informed by user research and qualitative analysis
  • Partner closely with UX design in user research/discovery and design
  • Team closely with engineers so iterations are executed efficiently and with high quality which includes working through story requirements/designs and performing acceptance testing
  • Manage product communications and maintain product documentation
  • Partner with the sales and account management teams in pre-sales and post-sales as both a functional and technical expert of product capabilities
  • Ensure cross-functional teams from sales, customer success, and support are fully aware of product releases and are enabled to be successful

Key Performance Measures

  • Roadmap is maintained on a monthly cadence
  • Ability to maintain target depth of ready backlog (e.g. 2 iterations)
  • Quality of user research and user stories
  • Maintain performance of user metrics for utilization, retention, and satisfaction

Requirements and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager or owner in an agile environment
  • Experience with modern SaaS products
  • Experience and passion for user research and UX
  • Proven ability to influence people internally and externally to drive outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business and technical aptitude
  • Very detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Bachelor’s degree

    We’re looking for a Campaign Manager to join the Ad Operations team at Vox Media! The Campaign Manager will be responsible for ensuring the trafficking setup, troubleshooting and delivery of Vox’s Direct and Programmatic Guaranteed digital marketing campaigns throughout our brand websites and across our content partner distribution landscape.     WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Utilize 3rd party ad tags ranging from simple creative setups, including standard desktop display, mobile, and 1x1 tracking, to more intricate creative setups, including but not limited to custom creative, video and native to accurately traffic and manage media execution across sites and platforms.
    • Consistently deliver thorough campaign and creative QA and troubleshooting services for ad-hoc internal and client tagging, tracking, and reporting issues.
    • Become the expert on our internal site specs and product offerings.
    • Translate client requirements into technical solutions and requirements and vice versa.
    • Collaborate with multiple departments such as Project Managers and Designers to execute and monitor all custom elements per campaign.
    • Reconcile billable media for all activations across platforms.
    • Provide process improvements and recommendation; translate business strategy and requirements into operational requirements; keep detailed documentation on various processes for team development.

    SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE:

    • Being able to efficiently deliver campaigns on their goals without wasting impressions unnecessarily.
    • Forging a positive and communicative working relationship with internal teams (mainly account and media strategists, as well as client success and project managers and paid social).
    • Becoming a reliable resource and go-to person for less experienced campaign managers and account strategists

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Business-minded with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • 1+ years of experience trafficking ads in GAM at a digital publisher
    • Experience with other 3rd party ad serving and tracking systems including DCM/DFA.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of Excel.
    • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks; ability to prioritize responsibilities; excellent time management.
    • Self-sufficient problem solver.
    • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, and thrive in an extremely fast-paced, detail and deadline-oriented environment.

    NICE TO HAVES:

    • Familiarity with Order Management Systems such as boostr and operative.one.

    About the opportunity

    As a Staff Product Designer for Tax Credits, you’ll be responsible for helping to shape and execute on this newly reformed 0-to-1 team to drive product market fit and business and customer value. You’ll be expected to craft high quality and intuitive end-to-end experiences for our customers. The work on Tax Credits is high visibility, high impact experiences that balance complex technical, compliance, and service requirements. You will play a pivotal role in simplifying the intricate journey of discovering and securing tax credits, ensuring it's approachable, user-friendly, and stress-free.     Our cash compensation range for this role is $139,000/yr to $199,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $179,000/yr to $221,000/yr in Seattle, San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.


    Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 daysper week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

    Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
