About the role

You will be responsible for developing dashboards, models, and tools to understand cost and utilization trends, and to influence and inform business strategies through effective data visualization and storytelling. You will partner closely with our Market P&L, Tech and Actuarial teams to visualize, segment and analyze claims data to better understand Oscar's medical costs, including building frameworks to quantify avoidable spend and measure and monitor outcomes.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $119,200 - $156,450 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Apply data visualization best practices to build user-friendly dashboards that highlight medical cost utilization trends and outliers
  • Use data to tell a story that non-technical colleagues will be able to understand, including packaging and presenting findings clearly and concisely
  • Build, maintain, and enhance KPI frameworks to closely monitor financial performance
  • Develop standardized, highly governed data sets that are comprised of the most commonly used fields and metrics needed to evaluate medical costs
  • Build utilization benchmarks to help drive understanding of actual versus expected performance
  • Collaborate with data leaders and business teams to enhance data processes, providing necessary data support to develop strategies for monitoring cost and utilization trend
  • Develops data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and addresses reporting needs
  • Create models and tools that generate insights to detect healthcare inefficiencies and recommend actions to mitigate them
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field OR 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • 1+ years experience working with SQL, with the ability to filter, aggregate, and build CTEs, or proficiency in R or Python, including experience with Pandas, for loops, and statistical tests
  • 1+ years experience in healthcare, finance or the insurance industry
  • 1+ years experience building data models and using more advanced analytics methods, including conducting in depth analysis, rather than simple descriptive analysis

Bonus Points

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, around business reporting impact and requirements, as demonstrated by experience on at least 2 reporting projects requiring communication between technical and non-technical users
  • Master's degree in a technical field
  • 1+ years of experience developing dashboards and working with Looker or other business intelligence/data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of or previous work experience in medical economics or health insurance
  • Exposure to ACA-specific healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements

About the Growth Marketing Team

We’re a team of digital marketers that create engaging campaigns across channels and we work closely with cross-functional partners (Brand, Product, Engineering, and Data Science) to drive growth on both sides of Thumbtack’s marketplace. About the Role

We are looking for an audio and video channel expert who has had experience working across OTT, CTV, Linear, traditional and digital audio channels. The ideal candidate is energetic and a self-starter willing to dig in and partner with agencies and internal stakeholders to improve the execution and efficiencies of these audio and video programs. They can ramp up quickly and work effectively with little oversight and prioritize and manage their own work, clearly tying it to the goals of the larger team, and the business as a whole. Responsibilities

  • Campaign Management - Own the optimization and day-to-day management of some of our core digital media channels - bid & budget management, target audience development & refinement, trafficking & operations, and creative iteration.
  • Process Automation - Identify opportunities to automate processes, working with product, engineering, and analytics teams to build in-house paid marketing tools (e.x. audience automation, creative optimization, campaign building, performance reporting, and forecasting). Develop an effective optimization process to quickly identify and respond to changes in performance
  • Data Analysis -Pull and analyze reports to extract insights and transform those insights into actionable changes that will improve performance. Work closely with the Analytics team to understand the performance of campaigns and tests; develop dashboards to monitor performance over time. Salary

The starting salary for this role is between $110,000 - $126,000, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location. For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years professional experience in application design, development, and operations
  • 3+ years of IT consulting / professional services experience, preferred experience working with public sector clients
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering software in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Pragmatic approach to software development and delivery
  • Understanding of application architecture best-practices
  • Experience with full stack development including C#, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript including utilizing a modern JS framework: Angular, React, and/or Vue
  • Extensive knowledge of .NET Framework and .NET
  • Previous experience with geospatial technologies preferred
  • Experience and deep working knowledge of database design, stored procedures, query optimization, functions, indexes and triggers
  • Interest working with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure

Summary

As an FP&A Supervisor, you will lead financial performance for main teams, overseeing labor planning, forecast accuracy, and process improvements. Main Responsibilities

  • Status Reporting and Risk Management: Redesign and maintain status reporting for multiple projects, escalating risks (e.g., resourcing, delays) and ensuring, accurate deliverables.
  • Team Leadership and Performance Metrics: Manage a team of 3-8 individuals, manage daily deliverables, set Indicators, and mentor team members through business partnering and cross-training.
  • Governance and Control: Establish and enforce governance frameworks to ensure deliverables are met on time and issues are escalated.
  • Process and Service Improvement: Lead projects to improve team performance and service levels, applying Lean and RPA methodologies for efficiency gains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA as an ideal.
  • 6+ Years of Experience in accounting/finance roles, with focus on FP&A responsibilities such as variable cost forecasting, capital expenditure reporting, bonus/commission calculations, cost/revenue allocations, and Indicator reporting.
  • Advanced English level.
  • 2+ Years of People Leadership Experience, overseeing daily activities and promoting team development.
  • Lead change within the finance team, driving improvements in processes.
  • Business Networking skills with experience working with multiple teams to support organizational goals.
