About the role

The Sr. Partner Solutions Architect will help the Dremio Alliances team build an expansive Partner ecosystem that includes technology vendors such as AWS, Microsoft, NetApp, VAST Data, Pure Storage, MinIO, and other technology ecosystem partners. Dremio’s technology partners play a key role in extending core Dremio functionality and also in building innovative joint solutions for our customers across many use cases.

The Sr. Partner Solutions Architect will work with Dremio’s leading technology partners to help build differentiated and compelling integrations and solutions for our joint customers. The candidate will work directly with Dremio’s alliances, marketing, product, sales, and support teams and Dremio technology partners to understand the needs of our customers, strategize on product integrations with partners, provide technical guidance, evangelize joint solutions, enable and educate partner sellers, and be the trusted technical contact/advisor for Dremio partners.

The Sr. Partner Solutions Architect must be passionate about Dremio’s mission, thrive in a dynamic environment, and be willing to jump in and get things done. The candidate is equally comfortable in both business and technical contexts, interacting both with executives and technology practitioners. The candidate, in addition to being a technical expert and resource, is also chartered with helping drive Dremio’s alliances efforts and agenda.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as Dremio technical leader and trusted adviser for Dremio cloud and technology partners.
  • Drive Dremio’s technical agenda with its top technology partners to help solve customers’ most pressing data and analytics challenges.
  • Provide Dremio architectural and technical guidance to partners and promote successful integrations with Dremio.
  • Communicate Dremio’s business model and current capabilities to partners while also developing new strategies and integrations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support Dremio technology partner initiatives.
  • Build technical assets such as whitepapers, blog posts, best practices documents, virtual hands-on labs, and quick-starts to accelerate the adoption of joint solutions.
  • Evangelize joint solutions and product integrations by speaking at conferences, webinars, and other marketing events.
  • Present Dremio’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors to partners, prospects,  and customers.
  • Partner with Dremio Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Support to continuously improve Dremio’s position in the marketplace.
  • Build assets to enable and train Dremio Sales Engineers on partner integrations and solutions.

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years of industry experience w/minimum of four in a pre-sales/customer-facing role.
  • Broad range of experience with large-scale database or data warehouse technologies and/or business intelligence technologies.
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics.
  • Understanding of cloud architectures and services involving SaaS solutions with leading cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of on-premises/hybrid storage and/or data platforms, including NetApp, Pure Storage, VAST Data, and others.
  • Excellent presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.
  • Experience architecting solutions with vendor technologies such as AWS, Azure, and other related technology vendors.
  • The attitude and ability to do what it takes to win!
  • Ability to identify and communicate how Dremio, working with its leading technology partners, can solve  customers’ most pressing analytics and data challenges.
  • Technically-savvy with proven ability to recognize opportunities for product integration, discuss product roadmaps and engage with product managers, service line owners, technical sellers and other constituencies.
  • Ability to develop and drive the technical agenda for our leading partnerships and help develop joint solutions with Dremio’s cloud and technology partners to drive preference and sales of Dremio.
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $190,000 per year. The base salary actually offered to a successful candidate will take into account various relevant and non-discriminatory business factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, and skills, and education, as well as internal equity considerations. A successful candidate may also be eligible to earn additional compensation including commissions and/or bonuses.

  • Identify & document all potential risks of a prospect or customer being successfully deployed and fully optimized on Pindrop, lead internal discussions with all stakeholders, and build mitigation plans
  • Write accurate Statements of Work (SOWs) with proposed solutions that encompass all requirements, deliverables, schedules, tasks, and pricing.
  • Lead complex deployments from project kickoff to transition including gathering technical and functional requirements, configuring the solution and supporting Pindrop customers with testing, training, and go live.

Qualifications

  • Prior Experience using Dynatrace or managing APM solutions a major plus (Strong expertise in this will be considered when there is a lack of another qualifying skill, although skill development and SA responsibilities will be remaining the same)
  • At least 5+ years of prior development experience in at least one object-oriented language. Solid understanding of byte-code based runtimes, i.e. Java, .NET
  • A general understanding of a variety of Cloud technologies and offerings such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud with at least expertise and/or certification in one while having an aptitude and appetite to learn others quickly.
  • Solution Architect must have a solid understanding of Network and Software Security Models, protocols, certificates, etc.
  • A general understanding of network topologies, routing, network security, security protocols, routing, load balancers and capacity planning
  • A general understanding of a Container based solutions using Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and similar products.
  • Outstanding communicator and writing skills a must with the ability to consult and lead multi-day meetings to assess technologies and processes.
  • An understanding of Application and/or Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability a plus
  • Experience in both Linux and Windows OS, advanced Linux skills a plus
  • Develop automation and repeatable processes/scripts to enable solutions that deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor Client applications is a plus
  • A general understanding of solutions using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, GoCD, Jenkins, TFS and similar products. 
  • Understanding of PaaS concepts and implementations such as Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, BlueMix or similar offerings a plus.

Managed Services Portfolio

The Managed Services Portfolio represents key Methods offerings to the marketplace, building on an outstanding reputation for quality, flexibility and creativity established to date. With focus on both SIAM and ServiceNow services, the team offer vital service management experience in a growing market. Additionally, the team is well placed to capitalise on the growing requirement for disaggregation services where government departments move away from legacy systems to best in class alternatives.

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Solutions Architect to provide thought leadership to our ServiceNow Operations Teams, work with our clients to design and build best in class ServiceNow solutions, support the sales cycle, and provide expertise to our strategic accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of end-to-end ServiceNow solutions that address complex business challenges, ensuring they meet the organisation’s current and future business needs.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed requirements, translating them into actionable specifications.
  • Conduct workshops, presentations, and training sessions to facilitate client understanding and collaboration.
  • Develop the architectural blueprint for ServiceNow solutions, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and integration requirements.
  • Assess new ServiceNow features, modules, and integrations to determine their suitability for our clients’ needs and advise on their adoption.
  • Establish and enforce governance policies, best practices, and coding standards to ensure the consistency, maintainability, and security of ServiceNow configurations.
  • Define and oversee integration strategy, including designing integrations between ServiceNow and other systems or applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability to enhance the overall efficiency of the client's IT landscape.
  • Ensure that ServiceNow solutions adhere to security standards, regulatory compliance, and data protection requirements and implement robust access controls and security measures.
  • Architect solutions with scalability and optimal performance in mind, considering anticipated growth and usage patterns.
  • Develop and maintain a ServiceNow roadmap and value realisation plan that aligns with the client’s strategic objectives, considering future enhancements, upgrades, and innovations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance ServiceNow solutions.
  • Provide quality assurance to ServiceNow implementations, overseeing thorough testing to ensure performance, functionality, and security, identifying defects during the development and testing phases.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation for solutions, including design documents, configuration details, and best practices, to support knowledge transfer and enable ongoing system maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and development teams, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and oversee internal mentoring, training, and development programmes to foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Implement coding and configuration standards to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Support the sales cycle by providing inputs to Pre-Sales collateral and bid responses, demonstrating solutions, attending client presentations, and working with the wider teams on service offering development.
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise to our strategic accounts, identifying opportunities for upsell and strengthening our relationships.
  • Attain and maintain relevant ServiceNow certifications to stay current on platform developments and disseminate this knowledge to customers and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the Methods’ brand awareness through blog creation, attending conferences / webinars, writing case studies / white papers etc.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Strong relationship-building, influencing, negotiating, and facilitation skills with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, articulating complex technical information convincingly at all levels.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, consistently delivering quality to deadlines and escalating issues and blockers in a timely manner, being customer and relationship focused, process driven, results oriented and organised.
  • Experience of working in a client-facing role in a professional services organisation.
  • Expert knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, beyond ITSM (e.g. SecOps, HRSD, IRM, BCM, APM, CMDB, ITAM, ITOM, SPM).
  • Design of complex integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise solutions, e.g. based on Integration Hub, Mid Server, SSO, JSON, SOAP, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP and SFTP.
  • ITIL and/or TOGAF qualified.
  • Experience of working with Agile SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle Management) methods.
  • Experienced in data architecture and master data management.
  • A high level of general, technical knowledge including current, emerging, and future technology market trends and their impact on business.
  • Good knowledge of Business Architecture, including business and technology strategies, operating models, process models, business and technology capability models and taxonomies (desirable).
  • Good knowledge and experience of modelling languages, e.g. UML, ArchiMate and BPMN (desirable.)
  • Practical understanding of GDPR and ISO 27001 (desirable).
  • Experienced in developing analysis, presentations, and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives.
  • Experience in managing large projects and programmes in an enterprise environment, leading project teams that help customers solve their most complex business problems through creative thinking and seeking innovative solutions.
