The Software Analyst/QA Specialist will play an integral part in the project life cycle and work closely with development team members, project managers, and the client throughout the Dev-ops process to prepare for each production release. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Work directly with a collaborative team of developers, designers and project leads to build custom solutions for our customer that includes responsibility to: 

  • Write Test Plans 

  • Execute Test Plans 

  • Document requirements 

  • Execute testing within an Agile software development lifecycle 

  • Attend daily scrum meetings 

  • Perform backlog grooming 

  • Create and update Jira tickets 

  • Track software bugs and document user/customer feedback within Jira tickets 

  • Consistently deliver thoroughly tested, high quality, on-time releases 

  • Analyze user needs, generate new feature requirements  

  • Stay up-to-date on automated testing, technologies, and trends 

  • Provide accurate level of effort estimates for testing software releases 

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related area 

  • Experienced with front-end technologies, especially HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery 

  • Thorough understanding of UI/UX principles and industry best practices 

  • Experience withAWS or other cloud computing services 

  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills

For All US Based Full-Time Positions:

The base salary for this position ranges between $149,500 to $238,500. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. Who You Are

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience and education that demonstrate proficiency in product management, market data, and user workflows.

Your Role

We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the software team responsible for the end-to-end experiences and capabilities of our camera product family (aka,Hudl Focus). These products are autonomous cameras that utilize edge AI to automatically track the action and upload to the cloud, offering our customers seamless access to vital, real-time video and insights. The software team is responsible for the application and integration layers running on the device, cloud and mobile app.

As aSenior Engineering Managerat Hudl, you’ll:

  • Lead division-level strategy. You’ll shape the vision for your division, ensuring alignment with Hudl’s overall strategy and setting the direction for multiple teams.

Compensation

    What you bring to the table:

    Cross-Functional Agile Collaboration

    1. Participates in agile ceremonies like scrum meetings, sprint planning, project retrospectives and provide personal input and feedback.
    2. Attends production or live deployments and monitors deployment status after performing sanity testing.
    3. Creates a recording of user documentation of configurable components or any related functionalities for business users or as needed.
    4. Collaborates remotely with cross-functional teams in the United States, Philippines, and India, including developers, product managers, and manual test engineers, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
    5. Collaborates with the development team to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

    Software Test Life Cycle Management

    1. Executes test cases and/or scripts, including thorough regression tests, white or black box testing of new and existing functionalities, and manual execution of end-to-end scenarios.
    2. Assesses scope of testing and create test suites in Zephyr for JIRA.
    3. Reviews and collates test cycle metrics, including test progress, test results, defects found, overall testing status and potential risks, and reports to project stakeholders.
    4. Investigates and debugs test failures, provides detailed reports and collaborates with the development team to resolve issues promptly.

    1. Performs other duties that maybe assigned from time to time.

    What you bring to the table:  

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer or in a similar role.
    • Must have experience in test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, TestComplete, JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, Cucumber, etc.
    • Must have a solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, and be accustomed to Agile Development.
    • Must be familiar with CI/CD concepts and tools and performance testing and security testing.
    • Must be able to work a flexible night shift schedule (typically 8pm-4am PHT, adjusting to 8pm-5am PHT after Daylight Saving Time ends).

    Location: The QA Automation Engineer position is a work-from-home position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila. Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.

    Our must-haves:

    • Must be open to joining some face-to-face gatherings, like our monthly functional meetings and quarterly teamwide events.
    • Must have a back-up laptop or desktop for use, if primary laptop encounters issues.
    • Must have a fast, reliable DSL, Fiber or Broadband connection (not mobile or broadband stick) as the primary internet connection with a minimum actual speed of 50MBPS.
    • Must have a back-up internet connection of the same speed, if primary connection becomes spotty.

    Status: This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

    Hardware Provision: Company-issued Laptop will be provided on the first day.

    • Proven track record of technical guidance and team mentorship
    • Expertise with AWS and cloud architecture - Amazon Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect, Associate or higher is a plus 
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.
    • Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as docker and Kubernetes
    • Knowledge of development methodologies and proficiency with scripting languages such as python
