Whereas before, JustPark was purely an expert in consumer parking reservations and on-demand payments, as a combined business we are now also market leaders in providing best-in-class venue and event parking management services and business intelligence. This makes 2024 a hugely exciting time to join our business and we are looking for new team members that will help us execute on the opportunity now in front of us. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is all about building a backend that delivers new tools and products to 10 million users, building solutions that ensure our customers experience a world-class service from our products.

As a senior engineer, you will get to contribute to key architectural decisions that shape the future of the stack at scale. You’ll also be expected to take charge of technical delivery and guide the more junior members of the team around you as we work together daily.

ABOUT OUR TECH STACK

We use Laravel 10 and PHP 8.1 as our daily drivers. Our current architecture is fairly monolithic, predominantly sat in Laravel as our main API and remnants of legacy desktop. We have a bunch of surrounding services written in Go, Java, Python and Node also, state is held in Redis, MySQL and PostgreSQL. Primarily the surrounding microservices are written in Go (around 25) with some legacy Java/Python services.

We operate in a cloud environment, utilising Google Cloud, and our infrastructure is cloud native - our entire production, staging and development stack is kubernetes and docker. 

We work to agile methodologies. Peer review of work is expected from all engineers, and we work in a test driven fashion as often it allows, but understand sometimes we might need to kick some code about for a bit before we’ve got the right implementation then refactor and pin in test. We are big on pair programming and encourage it wherever possible.

  • Refactored our pricing service to standardise on one algorithm
  • Introduced pricing surges for large scale events
  • Updated our automated pricing algorithm to earn more money for our space owners
  • We migrated to MySQL 8 from MySQL 5.7 with no downtime
  • We’ve implemented CI/CD and in the process of introducing canary releases/automated rollback
  • Written our own pricing engine, that can handle any car parks pricing structure
  • Implemented multiple multi-million pound sub-products to support our core service

What you’ll do

As an SC, you will participate as a technical liaison to the sales and service delivery organizations and manage requests for technical pre-sales assistance, scheduled customer discovery sessions, and solutions demonstrations. This individual will be responsible for creating and introducing solutions to the customer that will help lead the way to Closed/Won business.

The Solutions Consultant is an expert who understands customer-specific needs in order to provide business-driven consulting to prospects as well as existing customers. SC’s provide business-centric expertise that helps our Sales team establish market and deal-level visibility. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute thorough discovery of customer requirements and participation directly in sales interactions via calls and webinars
  • Develop comprehensive and creative use cases for prospective Nextiva customers
  • Present the Nextiva solution in conjunction with customer predefined requirements
  • Review quotes, RFPs, business plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare an effective response or proposal
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the industry and competitors in order to act as a valuable resource to the customer and sales teams
  • Participate in work groups regarding custom requests and professional services for unique customer requirements
  • Develop relationships with vendors including keeping track of new information and sharing with your team
  • Develop comprehensive documentation to be leveraged in the composition of the Statement of Work for the Service Delivery Organization
  • Provide technical assistance to other departments, including Product Management, Marketing, and People Development teams

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Early on, you’ll jump right into:

  • Continuing to support the regular maintenance of all the engineering systems supporting Float’s customers
  • Identifying areas requiring support to scale

About the department

Cloudflare’s Engineering Team builds and runs the software that handles a large number of HTTP requests on the Internet today. We also build and run the internal tools that builds and runs our software. The Engineering Team is split into two groups: one handles product development and the other handles operations. Product development covers both new features and functionality and scaling our existing software to meet the challenges of a massively growing customer base. The operations team handles one of the world’s largest networks with data centers in 102 cities worldwide.

What you'll do

Cloudflare is looking for a backend engineer to help us build and maintain the codebase that powers both our customer APIs as well as internal service APIs. This is a role for engineers that are familiar with standard web backend architecture, and capable in database design and interaction. Our API platform is under constant load and scrutiny, so experience and commitment to easily understood and tested code is also a key part of the role. Your ability to visualize the flow of data through a complex application is critical to your success, and to the team’s. You will be working closely with the product team to understand and document the functional needs of their product requirements, developing new code to solve new problems, as well as maintaining existing code to squash bugs. Our tech stack includes services built using Go, JavaScript, PHP, Redis, Postgres, and Cloudflare products. What you'll be doing:

- Capaz de escrever textos com uma linguagem simples e direta;
- Perfil analítico e raciocínio estratégico.

Our current technical stack consists of applications running on or backed by Docker, NGINX, PHP 7, mySQL, Javascript (VueJS), Redis, and COBOL. This role is a critical part of our product team primarily focused on managing and developing containerized, consumer-facing, web-based applications written in PHP and using the Laravel framework, with interfaces to a legacy back-office system, written in COBOL and running on an IBM iSeries (AS400). Familiarity with iSeries application programming interfaces is a major plus.

  • Gather and document requirements
  • Developing functional specifications
  • Lead a small team of software engineers
  • Build new features from the ground up
