What you’ll do:

  • Act as the primary frontend developer, handling all UI related requirements, updates, and new UI features.
  • Build and optimize user-friendly UI components, such as interactive grids and arrays, that display data in an organized and actionable format.
  • Communicate consistently with customers, ensuring high-touch engagement and clear updates even through complex or evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and accurately translate complex business logic into effective front-end solutions.
  • Independently troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise, ensuring efficient and reliable UI performance.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • You have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 4 years of relevant experience as a Front-End Developer
  • C# and JavaScript Proficiency: Strong experience in C# and JavaScript for frontend development.
  • .NET Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with .NET Framework is essential.
  • Experience with .NET MAUI and Blazor: Knowledge of .NET MAUI and Blazor is a plus, as recent UI enhancements leverage these technologies.
  • Independent Problem-Solving and Ownership: Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and take full ownership of projects without needing step-by-step guidance.
  • High Responsiveness and Customer Engagement: Ability to keep customers engaged and informed at every stage, providing updates even when troubleshooting is still in progress.
  • Personable and Positive Communication: Enjoys collaborative, positive interactions with both team members and customers, demonstrating patience and professionalism.
  • Strong Debugging Skills: Skilled in intensive debugging to solve complex UI and business logic issues independently.

Scope of Services:

  • You have 5+ years of full-stack experience in software development and have demonstrated success working in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) environment.
  • You are able to leverage your intermediate experience in Python to effectively build and deploy highly performant REST APIs.
  • Additionally, you have a firm understanding of relational databases and experience in SQL creating and modifying data models, as well as writing and optimizing queries with scalability and performance in mind. 
  • You also have some experience in Javascript.

Your job as an apps developer will be to help build new apps to add to our catalogue, as well as to maintain and improve the overall SDK and platform that the apps themselves run on.

Most of our apps are open source, built with React and Typescript, and use eslint and jest for code quality and testing.

If you're also interested in the backends, here's some other tech we use: PHP, NodeJS, Docker, Elastic, Redis, and all the services offered by AWS.

  • Deskpro UI - A shared UI library used internally by Deskpro but also externally to give a consistent and excellent user experience
  • Solid experience building high quality web apps with React and Typescript (with unit tests, Internationalisation, optimisation).
  • Experience with JavaScript/Typescript and the JavaScript/Typescript ecosystem. For example, you know how to bootstrap a new product or library (our app template uses Vite).
  • You should be a fast learner. We often venture into unknown territory so you should be a Google/ChatGPT-fu master and have experience-driven intuition.
  • You should have a strong understanding of software architecture with opinions on "the right way" to do things.
  • You’ll have a good understanding of GraphQL and Rest APIs - we work with lots of 3rd parties which has a variety of API standards.
  • You should be a "do-er". You will have a lot of autonomy over your own work, and you will be expected to work with the team to make sure your projects get shipped.

    Our growing Enterprise Solutions Architecture Team has formed out of a high demand in our Enterprise clients needing leadership to deploy the Dynatrace platform at extreme scale, many of the Senior Solutions Engineers design and develop valuable solutions either during our engagements or innovating significant ways to support the delivery of our engagements.

    The solutions we build are many times shared and used by many of our growing list of enterprise accounts. As we continue to grow, solutions such as our regularly expanding online Elevate portal or custom solutions that help maximize the use of the Dynatrace platform for our clients often need continued development support and assistance as our user base and engagement offerings expand. The team consists of extremely strong technical talent, yet we are always exposed to new challenges for technical growth, daily communication with peers as well as customers.      

    This Job is a full-time role within the ESA team to first assist customers in solutioning complex integrations, second, assisting the Enterprise Solutions Architect team with key delivery tasks, presentations, diagrams, data analytics or hands on integrations, and third to contribute to the adoption of the new Elevate portal that not only serves up the ESA content to our engagements but will also serve up and manage content for the rest of the Dynatrace Services Organization.

    As a team member it is expected to be exposed to a vast number of technologies, teams and techniques throughout some of the top organizations in the world.     Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
    • 3+ years of experience using Dynatrace or managing Observability solutions.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Prior experience with log analytics with products such as Splunk, ElasticSearch, Dynatrace, etc.
    • Ability to Develop automation and repeatable processes/scripts to enable solutions that deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor Client applications
    • Experience in frontend and / or backend programing languages
    • 1+ industry certification (AWS / Azure / GCP / Kubernetes / Ansible etc..)
    • An Active Dynatrace Certification
    • Understanding of PaaS concepts and implementations such as Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, BlueMix or similar offerings
    • Strong skills in diagraming and articulating designs and solutions
    • Strong analytic, organization, presentation, customer service and facilitation skills.
    • Ability to gather customer requirements and translate those requirements into short- and long-term deliverables while working with Project Managers and Directors
    • Comfortable with Software Development Life Cycles, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment
    • A general understanding of a variety of Cloud technologies and offerings such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
    • Solid understanding of Network and Software Security Models, protocols, certificates, etc.
    • A general understanding of network topologies, routing, network security, security protocols, routing, load balancers and capacity planning
    • A general understanding of a Containers and Container orchestration products i.e. Kubernetes, OpenShift, docker
    • Outstanding communicator and writing skills with the ability to consult and lead multi-day meetings to assess technologies and processes

    We are small team at the moment, with the perspective to grow next year. You will work closely with other product teams and well as finance and sales teams in a distributed and international setup while reporting directly to our Platform Finance Services Director

    The Role:

    Celonis is looking for a Staff Data & Machine Learning Engineer to improve and extend our existing Task Mining ETL pipeline as well as build production ready AI based features into the Task Mining product. You will be owning the solution to simplify the extraction of insights from task mining data. This role demands a blend of expertise in data engineering, software development, and machine learning, utilizing Python


    The work you’ll do:

    • Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines that facilitate the ingestion, processing, and transformation of large datasets
    • Drive the development of AI-powered features and applications from scratch within the Task Mining product
    • Implement data strategies and develop data models
    • Collaborate with other engineering teams to implement, deploy, and monitor ML models in production, ensuring their performance and accuracy
    • Leverage machine learning techniques to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process optimization
    • Write performant, scalable and easy to understand SQL queries and optimize existing ones
    • Learn PQL (Process Query Language – Celonis’ own language for analytical formulas and expressions) and use it to query data from our process mining engine
    • Own the implementation of end to end solutions: leading the design, implementation, build and delivery to customers
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers and team members
    • Lead design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning sessions to ensure high standards and knowledge sharing


    The qualifications you need:

    • 8+ years of practical experience in a Computer Science/Data Science related field
    • Or PhD in Data Science/AI/ML area with 5+ years of practical experience 
    • Experience with building production ready and scalable AI/ML applications in the python ecosystem
    • Ability to optimize data pipelines, applications, and machine learning models for high performance and scalability
    • Understanding of ETL jobs, data warehouses/lakes, data modeling, schema design
    • Excellent command of SQL, including query optimization principles
    • Ability to assess dependencies within complex systems, quickly transform your thoughts into an accessible prototype and efficiently explain it to diverse stakeholders
    • Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Docker, Github Actions)
    • Interest in learning new technologies (e.g. PQL language and Object Centric Process Mining)
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills (English is a must)
    • Able to supervise and coach mid-level and senior colleagues
    • Knowledge of Column-oriented DBMS (e.g. Vertica) and its specific features would be beneficial
    • Nice to have is knowledge in the frameworks Tensorflow, Pytorch, Langchain, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy
