  • Manage the interaction in the exam and facilitates the candidate’s performance ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Ensure standardization and consistency of interlocution

Quimbee is seeking an educator with strong subject-matter expertise in the California Bar Examination. The candidate will consult with Quimbee on its California bar review course, with a view toward updating, refining, and improving course content and structure. The candidate will also assist in answering substantive questions of law related to the California Bar Examination. As a result, the role requires strong familiarity with the California Bar Examination and a generalist command of key points of testable law, including any recent changes to California law and changes to California exam specifications. 

The work will be done on a part-time limited, contract basis, with a view toward possible future work at the project's conclusion. Depending on the work, we estimate that the main project will take one to three months to complete. This freelance position is 100% remote. All you need is an internet connection and a quiet place to work.

Responsibilities:

Your primary deliverable will be a schedule of essay assignments that will be incorporated into the bar review course. You will review our California lesson videos and select essays from previous administrations of the exam with an eye to covering commonly tested areas and preparing users for exam day.

Along the way, using your expert-level knowledge of the exam, you will also identify any issues or coverage gaps in the lesson sets, ensuring that all necessary testable topics are covered and, as necessary, recommending a specific program of additional or revised videos needed to address those gaps or issues.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Review and update course content, including outlines, multiple-choice questions, and lesson videos 
  • Participate in the editorial process with Quimbee editors and according to Quimbee editorial documentation
