Account Executive

The Account Executive in Chicago is a field-based position responsible for the overall success of our Chromium and Visium franchises and for driving Xenium consumables utilization within top- and mid-tier academic and government accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in Single Cell and Spatial profiling, demonstrating technical credibility to effectively consult with customers and influence key decisions on technology and product choices. A strong history of account relationships with key thought leaders in the Genomics space is essential. Additionally, the role requires strong business acumen to build successful account and territory plans, translating territory strategy into business results.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop and manage a territory plan to meet or exceed business goals.
  • Customer Consultation: Apply technical credibility to consult with customers on technology solutions.
  • Sales Management: Demonstrate funnel management skills with strong hunting/prospecting and closing skills. Consistently and accurately manage the sales process, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking through the use of the CRM system and other designated IT tools.
  • Customer Relationships: Establish trust with customers, understand their research needs and internal dynamics, and take a consultative selling approach to provide the right solutions. Ensure high customer satisfaction post-sale.
  • Market Knowledge: Develop deep knowledge of customer ecosystems and decision-makers. Stay up-to-date on research trends to identify high-value leads.
  • Team Coordination: Work effectively with sales and support teams, 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other roles, aligning internal responsibilities and goals, and leveraging experts to drive customer decisions and an exceptional customer experience from awareness through adoption and utilization.
  • Post-Purchase Support: Manage the customer relationship post-purchase to support ongoing consumables use and identify new and future research opportunities and needs.
  • Business Planning: Commit to rigorous business and territory planning, applying market and customer knowledge to ensure accurate and timely forecasting.
  • Market and Product Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of genetic analysis markets, products, and buying practices required to effectively compete in the assigned territory.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years sales experience in Life Science,  selling small to mid-sized capital and consumables, preferably in the academic, life sciences or biotechnology industries
  • Extensive knowledge of single cell and spatial biology tools applied to life science research.
  • Ability to travel as needed to be successful in this field based role.
  • Proven ability to establish long-term customer relationships and closing new business
  • Strong customer-facing skills including building trust, understanding needs, presenting solutions, and navigating research institutions and grant funding environment

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field

Below is the base pay range for this full time position.  The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience.  At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.  This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.  Your 10x recruiter can share more about the Company’s total compensation package during the hiring process.

The risk management function works closely with various teams across Gemini including products, operations, engineering, data and compliance to manage inherent risks in processes of the Company. Daily focus is on operator sales calls and support. When appropriate participate in sales meetings, attend Food Shows and other activities required to grow the business.
  • Lead key Operator sales growth through timely lead follow up and fry test management; providing product solutions, market intelligence, and technical expertise that adds value for our customers.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks surrounding the Business; Total Fry test process management, Salad dressing, Sauces, Mayo cuttings, Butter Flavored Oil uses and demonstrations, Knowledge in all of our Bakery Shortenings.
  • Is responsible to learn more effective selling techniques to maximize effectiveness.  This includes product knowledge as well as skill enhancements, i.e. professional presentations, organizational skills and be proficient in using our promotional tools.
  • Support and regionally direct One Foodservice strategy to include funneling of commodity opportunities as well to Distributor brands managers and inside sales to achieve overall corporate goals and objectives.
  • Must become proficient in Salesforce.com for efficient opportunity. management and Customer relationship management. Other administrative duties include expense reports, contract management and timely email response.
  • Position must follow directives completely as outlined and report to Division Manager.
  • Travel – ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned territory.

Competencies

  • Through the Division Managers direction, identify operator targets to call on to sell our NB products DSM with a particular focus on local and regional chain operators.
  • Hands-on responsibility for setting up and monitoring key Operator Fry tests and product samplings.
  • Achieve assigned goals and objectives through direct selling support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Distributors Street sales reps with the goals of becoming their Stratas National Brands leader in Oils DSM products. Daily focus is on operator sales calls and support. When appropriate participate in sales meetings, attend Food Shows and other activities required to grow the business.
  • Lead key Operator sales growth through timely lead follow up and fry test management; providing product solutions, market intelligence, and technical expertise that adds value for our customers.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks surrounding the Business; Total Fry test process management, Salad dressing, Sauces, Mayo cuttings, Butter Flavored Oil uses and demonstrations, Knowledge in all of our Bakery Shortenings.
  • Is responsible to learn more effective selling techniques to maximize effectiveness.  This includes product knowledge as well as skill enhancements, i.e. professional presentations, organizational skills and be proficient in using our promotional tools.
  • Support and regionally direct One Foodservice strategy to include funneling of commodity opportunities as well to Distributor brands managers and inside sales to achieve overall corporate goals and objectives.
  • Must become proficient in Salesforce.com for efficient opportunity. management and Customer relationship management. Other administrative duties include expense reports, contract management and timely email response.
  • Position must follow directives completely as outlined and report to Division Manager.
  • Travel – ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned territory.

  • Effective Presentation Skills are essential to ensure maximum performance.  Must be able to learn as well as train.
  • Must understand Business dynamics of selling propositions and defend ferociously.  Must be able to balance cost vs. value effectively across the Branded Portfolio.  This is a required acumen.

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Tester with experience in the Video Game industry to work with our multi-talented team to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
With a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills, you will ensure that our games, features, and systems work as expected and that we deliver bug-free content on time. Working together with the rest of the QA team, the development department as well and the various stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to understand all the internal dynamics and impact the way we build our product processes.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with many other disciplines such as design, LiveOps, business intelligence, and development engineering, to build and test products that meet the overall business needs. This is a dynamic role with high exposure to many aspects of developing and running a unique game.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual functional testing across the company’s PC, web, and mobile platforms (iOS, Android): Dev Testing, LiveOps Production testing, Development testing functionality and Manual Testing, smoke tests, Unit Testing, regression as well as any additional ad hoc tests both in development, Production and Live Phase.
  • Report in real-time proactively with stakeholders regarding QA operations with game defects, and Quality concerns from an end-user perspective including complete steps, identification of root cause, and expected results into communication channels and appropriate bug tracking software along with back-to-back follow-ups until the regression phase.
  • Creating and sending test reports upon completion of test activities and actively involved in planning and solving with stakeholders.
  • Follow up on issues with the team to ensure that they are fixed and delivered to end users.
  • Developing test plans with a strategic selection of test methodologies in advance during the development phase.
  • Proactively communicate concerns and risks to Product Teams in a professional manner.
  • Creation and maintenance of written documentation of knowledge and processes.
  • Assist in backlog and defect grooming with the Producers and Cross Department Leads.
  • Owning features and ensuring they are tested thoroughly with assurance of the Quality of the product to be shipped globally.

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years experience in quality control and assurance of Video Games.
  • Experience in Coordinating QA operations with the Production Team and other Departments.
  • Good knowledge of Jira.
  • Experience in a remote working culture is a must.
  • Experienced in at least one bug-tracking software and the ability to create detailed and efficient documentation.
  • Fluent in English and a good communicator, both written and spoken.
