As a Senior AWS Solution Architect & Senior AWS Cloud Consultant you fulfill the following tasks:

  • You research and analyze available tools and frameworks and then implement those as cloud-native solutions for our customers
  • You assist the T-Systems Public Cloud Product Management Team to build and define solutions on top of AWS based on customer and market feedback
  • You support the customer engagement lifecycle from pre-sales to implementation and identify and support follow-up activities
  • You participate in or lead technical workshops as a cloud expert with partners and clients and implement Pilot and Proof of Concept projects
  • You advise clients on architecture methods, governance and the use of cloud-native best practices
  • You will run Well-Architected Reviews on customer workloads advising the customer on AWS best practices 
  • You will review existing customer environments, plan and implement migrations to AWS cloud by applying appropriate migration strategy (Relocate, Rehosting, Refactoring etc.) 
  • You develop automated cloud-native solutions following the IaC approach using appropriate AWS services, such as Lambda, Step Functions, Terraform, Cloudformation (including higher-level provision options like SAM or CDK)
  • You are responsible for expanding and improving the solution portfolio and you develop new features, templates and documentation 
  • You act as a coach and mentor for young and new team members
  • You take over technical sub-project management responsibility as a sparring partner between business and IT in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Independent steering of error analysis and problem-solutions together with the operation in the DevOps teams
  • You work in a highly dynamic, international environment with a highly motivated team

Qualifications

  • Next to a degree in computer science or another technical discipline, you have at least 5 years of experience in two or more of the following areas: software development, automation and containers, design & implementation of distributed cloud applications, agile methodologies
  • You have 2+ years of working experience with a hyperscaler AWS cloud platform (nice to have Azure or GCP knowledge), for example Amazon EC2 compute, AWS Lambda, AWS EventBridge, AWS CloudWatch, Amazon RDS, Amazon ECS
  • Extensive experience in DevOps methodologies, Programming and Automation with Shell Scripting, Docker, Terraform, Ansible. Linux system Administration, Bash scripting.
  • You are experienced with complex, large scale environments and able to design a resilient, secured, and performant cloud infrastructure solution
  • Demonstrated experience developing an enterprise-scale distributed applications using modern software development practices and technologies is highly desired
  • You have already client-facing experiences
  • Strong communication skills in English, (German is nice to have)
  • Flexibility and readiness to travel occasionally are expected

THE ROLE – Cloud Onboarding Engineer

We are looking for an Onboarding Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes and OpenStack to support the seamless transition of IT and NT applications from customer environments to our VTI platform. This is a hands-on role where you will act as the primary point of contact (PoC) for customers, helping them deploy, configure, and optimize their applications on Kubernetes and OpenStack platforms. The role requires technical expertise in platform connectivity, Linux/Windows system administration, and a strong understanding of cloud consumption patterns to increase the resiliency and scalability of customer applications.

Responsibilities:

• Application Onboarding: Facilitate the transition of customer IT and NT applications from diverse platforms to Kubernetes and OpenStack. Provide technical assistance and expertise throughout the onboarding process.

• Platform Connectivity Design: Design and implement connectivity solutions for third-party applications, cloud integrations, and IP networking requirements (excluding LAN or switch-related tasks).

• Customer Point of Contact (PoC): Act as a trusted advisor and primary technical PoC for customers, ensuring smooth consumption of Kubernetes and OpenStack services.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, or telecommunications environments.

• Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and OpenStack platforms, particularly in application deployment and consumption.

• System Administration: Strong Linux administration skills, including bash scripting and hands-on experience managing Linux/Windows systems.

• Connectivity Design: Experience in designing and implementing connectivity for third-party applications, cloud integrations, and IP networking.

• Customer Engagement: Proven ability to act as a customer PoC, providing technical guidance and ensuring a smooth transition.

An overview of this role

The Runner team works closely with our other Verify teams to build our Continuous Integration (CI) system. Our Fleet Visibility engineers work to enable customers to more deeply integrate AI into their development processes, in one unified dashboard, allowing them to manage a GitLab Runner Fleet at scale and have deep visibility into CI/CD pipeline metrics. 

As our new Backend Engineer, you will help us continue to mature our functionality, reliability, performance, scalability, security, and usability as this key area of the product continues to evolve. This is an architect level position, requiring more than just product knowledge and expertise. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years hands-on design and programming experience in an object-oriented language, preferably Python
  • 4+ years of consulting experience, preferably with APM tools
  • Strong architectural understanding of either the JEE or .NET platform and how it works, and a self-directed willingness to learn about other platforms and “new stack” technologies
  • Clear understanding of highly distributed applications and how they interconnect and communicate, from the browser or mobile app, through the cloud, CDNs, and third parties, into the data center, and through to the back end
  • Ability to have meaningful discussions around technical concepts such as object-oriented fundamentals, web application infrastructure, memory management and GC, threading, frameworks, design patterns, exception handling, messaging, reflection, aspect-oriented programming, dependency injection
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on techniques and best practices for extending Dynatrace, combining product expertise with your skills and knowledge
  • Consult with customers to understand, and then meet, their business and technical goals
  • Develop, and support, integrations with 3rd party tools and devices to extend the footprint of Dynatrace
  • Work with customers to provide information on how to best incorporate the
  • Dynatrace product into non-out-of-the-box supported environments
  • Participate in project scoping and integration architectural deployment design
  • Partner with the sales team as needed in presales technical sessions

  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization via charts and dashboards, including appropriate use of granular and aggregate data

    About the Partnerships Team

    The Partnerships team is focused on driving more customers to the platform through B2B partnerships that can deliver long-term, sustainable customer growth. Additionally, the Partnerships team works closely with different XFN partners in product, sales, success, marketing, etc. to design and execute targeted campaigns and experiments for new and existing professionals on Thumbtack.

    About the Role

    The Partner Success Manager sits within the Sales organization with an indirect line into the Partnerships team. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for Thumbtack’s strategic and technology Demand partners. The Partnerships Manager role will directly impact the overall growth of the Thumbtack marketplace by creating and maintaining a framework for ensuring that a partner’s business goals, objectives, and needs are exceeded.  Improving the quality of partners on the platform, that provide an exceptional customer experience, while driving revenue for the company. 

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and proactively engage with a portfolio of Partners (“book of business”) that use our Demand API products, with a focus on Partner retention and Net Retention Growth YoY
    • Partner with the various Partnership leads to identify opportunities to drive product adoption, net retention, and overall revenue growth
    • Enable co-selling and co-marketing initiatives; including training with our partners and internal sales team to create win/win strategies.
    • Manage partner relationships by setting strategic goals, KPIs, and initiatives for continued success
    • Drive adoption of best practices to enable Partners to convert and perform more effectively as a Thumbtack partner.
    • Provide API and integration guidance with partners and internal stakeholders
    • Work cross-functionally with product, sales, success, and marketing teams to define, improve, and execute on our GTM strategy

    What you’ll need

    • 2-4 years of experience in customer success, account management, partnerships, business development, consulting or similar customer-facing roles
    • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and deliver a customer-centric solution
    • Experience managing a portfolio of accounts that met or exceeded quota or defined KPIs
    • Salesforce or similar CRM experience is required
