About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Data Analyst to join the team and help expand the value we deliver across Plum.

You will be part of a well established Product Analytics team, consisting of Data Analysts embedded across Product, Marketing and Operations, supporting the companies decision making through data.

You will join to be accountable for the roadmap of insights and analytics related to a specific Product Pillar consisting of multiple Squads, working as a key reference and point of mentorship for Data Analysts at lower seniority levels.

What will you do

  • Lead and manage a small team of Data Analysts (1 to 3) across a Product Pillar consisting of multiple Squads. You will work as a key enabler to effective prioritisation and mentorship across the Pillar.
  • Become domain expert across an area at Plum, establishing yourself as the point of contact for analytical support.
  • Help the teams you work with identify the opportunities (new features, products, bugs etc) they should focus on, by linking these to impact on the metrics of interest.
  • Propose and define success KPIs and guide the teams towards data-driven decision making around these.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Marketeers at Plum to impact size opportunities and estimate the impact these had once released.
  • Produce deep dive analysis that influence the trajectory of the team’s roadmap.
  • Data modelling and analysis of key concepts, KPIs and patterns using dbt, BigQuery and SQL.
  • Create interactive and informative dashboards and reports in Looker.
  • Plan, implement, and analyse A/B tests to evaluate the impact of new product features against KPIs.
  • Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to work on a modern Data platform (BigQuery, Looker, dbt), surrounded by an eclectic team of great Data professionals covering areas such as Product Analytics, Data Science and Data & Analytics Engineering.

What You'll Do

    Our HR Data is fundamental to BCG’s overall priorities, from supporting digitalization of our functions to feeding the analytics and information for continued growth and success as a global organisation. For HR, Data Governance is a growing area of priority and influence with recent investment driving a renewed strategy and implementation plan. This is an important area for the organisation with significant scope for thought partnering and senior stakeholder influencing. 
    The ideal candidates will have a goal-oriented mindset and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver Data Governance capabilities and support exceptional Data Products. They will have 5+ years of experience in driving an increase in Data Governance maturity in large, highly complex companies and a knowledge of industry best practices. Finally, they should have good communication skills with proven experience in stakeholder engagement (including business and technical teams) with the ability to showcase the business benefits of Data Governance.
Among your responsibilities, you will:
•    Deliver on the vision and roadmap for our HR Data Governance Strategy
o    Driving metadata management (alignment on definitions, capturing data lineage, capturing data classification, maintaining/updating HR items in data catalogue)

The Role

Modern Health is looking for a Product Data Analyst to join our Analytics team. The role reports into our Manager of Analytics and will work cross-functionally with our Engineering and Product teams as their dedicated partner for all things data.

In this role, you will identify which metrics matter and how to measure them, implement them in our database, and report out via Looker. You will build data sources and dashboards that empower your stakeholders to understand and utilize the data in order to make informed decisions. You will partner with Engineering and Product to identify patterns, trends, and insights related to user behavior and product usage, and provide recommendations for product improvements. Your work will directly impact our product roadmap and overall user experience.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct deep-dive data analyses using your skills in SQL, Python, or the tool of your choice and translate the results into actionable recommendations
  • Define, socialize, and measure KPIs aligned to company strategic objectives
  • Design, develop and build self-service dashboards to ensure our Tech partners have easy access to the right information
  • Plan and conduct A/B tests to assess the impact of product changes, and provide recommendations based on the results
  • Collaborate with product managers to align data analysis with product development, helping to define and prioritize features and improvements
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams to drive product improvements and optimize user experiences
  • Develop and sustain our code base; partner with Data Engineering to improve our data platform
  • Guarantee the reliability of your work by checking, double checking, and code review

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of experience in product analytics or similar role, with a focus on data analysis and product insights
  • Expert in SQL, data analysis, and data visualization
  • Experience with Looker or an equivalent BI tool
  • Experience with Mixpanel or equivalent web and product analytics tools
  • Strong understanding of and experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis
  • Proven success partnering with and explaining data and analytics concepts to non-technical team members
  • Experience working in high-performing product teams, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration, early & rapid testing, and outcomes over output
  • Ability to both think strategically and drive execution

What you will be doing

As a Data Quality Analyst your primary priority is to ensure that the data used by the company is accurate, complete, and consistent.   • Monitor data quality: The data analyst/engineer would monitor data quality on an ongoing basis, using automated tools and manual checks to identify issues.
  • Investigate data quality issues: When data quality issues are identified, the analyst/engineer would investigate them to determine their root cause and work with other teams to resolve them.
  • Develop data quality processes: The analyst/engineer would develop processes to ensure that data is checked for quality as it is collected and processed, and that data quality issues are addressed promptly. This stage includes the use of tools and technology in order to promote efficiency in the data check activities.
  • Train stakeholders: The analyst/engineer would train other stakeholders in the company on data quality best practices, to ensure that everyone is working towards the same quality goals.
  • Promote improvements in the development process in order to ensure the integrity and availability of the data.

Some other responsibilities are:

  • Provide technical directions and mentor other data engineers about data quality.
  • Perform data validity, accuracy, and integrity test across different components of the Data Platform.
  • Build automated test framework and tools to automate the Data Platform services and applications.
  • Automate regression tests and perform functional, integration, and load testing.
  • Articulate issues to BI developers during meetings and particularly in the daily standups.
  • Articulate issues to data engineers and analysts during meetings and particularly in the daily standups.
  • Triage production-level issues if data if affected, and working with the involved teams until the issues are resolved.
  • Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements.
  • Provide test case coverage and defect metrics to substantiate release decisions.

Knowledge and skills you need to have

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Information Systems or 2+ years’ experience with corporate data management systems in high-compliance contexts.
  • 2+ years of experience writing complex SQL on large customer data sets (complex queries).
  • High proficiency in relational or non-relational databases.
  • Knowledgeable about industry data compliance strategies and practices, such as continuous integration, regression testing, and versioning.
  • Familiarity with Big Data environments, dealing with large diverse data sets.
  • Experience with BI projects.
  • Strong scripting experience with any of the scripting languages.
  • Accountability for receiving challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to drive & collaborate with cross teams.

Accountabilities: 

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyse workforce data and performance metrics. Ensure data quality and spot trends to guide strategic workforce planning. Analysis of data and reporting to identify emerging trends and anomalies to add value to the end-to-end workforce management process.
  • Rostering: Create and maintain accurate rosters that meet the business needs.
  • Real Time Monitoring: Monitor real time call volumes, student advisor availability and service levels across multiple channels.
  • Intraday Management: Adjust intraday staffing plans based on actual volume, student advisor availability and absenteeism.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide real time performance reporting and updates to Team Leaders and Managers, highlighting any areas of concerns or trends that require attention.
  • Coordination and Communication: Work closely with Team Leaders, Managers, and the Workforce Manager to communicate real time performance, identify gaps and recommend actions to improve contact center performance.
  • Incident Management: Quickly identify and respond to service disruptions, outages or any other incidents affecting the contact center’s ability to meet contact center targets.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed to investigate and resolve specific issues or to provide insights on operational performance.
  • Compliance and Adherence: Ensure all student advisors operations are compliant with company policies and that agents adhere to their schedules.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years demonstrated Workforce Analyst experience in a call-centre environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated experience in analysing data, both historical and in real time and making quick, informed decisions based on that data.
