What you’ll do:

  • Maintain all operational aspects of data transfers while accounting for the security posture of the underlying infrastructure and the systems and applications that are supported and monitoring the health of the environment through a variety of health tracking capabilities;
  • Automate configuration management, leverage tools, and stay current on data extract, transfer, and load (ETL) technologies and services;
  • Work under general guidance, demonstrate an initiative to develop approaches to solutions independently, review architecture, and identify areas for automation, optimization, right-sizing, and cost reduction to support the overall health of the environment;
  • Apply comprehension of data engineering-specific technologies and services, leverage expertise in databases and a variety of approaches to structuring and retrieving of data, comprehend Cloud architectural constructs, and support the establishment and maintenance of Cloud environments programmatically using vendor consoles;
  • Engage with multiple functional groups to comprehend client challenges, prototype new ideas and new technologies, help to create solutions to drive the next wave of innovation, and design, implement, schedule, test, and deploy full features and components of solutions
  • Maintain an existing collection of web scraping tools used as the initial step of the ETL process
  • Identify and implement scalable and efficient coding solutions

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Requires an active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5-7 years experience, or a Masters Degree plus 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with Big Data systems, including Apache Spark / Databricks
  • Experience with ETL processes;
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or MilCloud 2.0;
  • Applying DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and automating that process
  • Experience with multiple coding languages

Handshake is hiring a Technical Lead Manager, Machine Learning with a focus on Generative AI and Recommendations reporting to our Head of Core Relevance.

You will be part of a high-impact org that has already built a Data platform housing billions of data points, with cutting-edge production systems such as embedding-based retrieval, Graph Neural Networks, Fine-Tuned LLMs, and multi-stage rankers.  You will level up existing ML systems and drive marketplace metrics, while also accelerating greenfield AI-based products such as Social/Feed.  We’ll do all of this responsibly, with developed workstreams around Explainability, Fairness, and Quality.

Your role

  • You will be a Force Multiplier - setting technical direction, shaping engineering culture, identifying and adopting industry best practices, designing effective partnerships across the company, mentoring and coaching direct reports / peers, and more. 
  • You will be a Leader-  managing a lean team of machine learning engineers and data scientists while enabling effective collaboration, high-quality execution, and technical excellence across the Data organization
  • You will be an Innovator -  developing algorithms and Machine Learning systems that connect users across the Handshake marketplace; from students looking for their first jobs and internships to employers sourcing candidates for high-priority roles.
  • You will be a Collaborator -being an effective partner to product managers; you will work with product managers in driving new user experiences through Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing and build experiments that drive key product decisions and provide invaluable insights.

Your experience

You are an experienced, hands-on senior engineering leader with extensive experience identifying problems, coming up with technical solutions, and driving projects to completion. You care about culture, mentorship, and collaboration just as much as you care about coding, architecture, and technical design. You have an extreme user-focus, you are comfortable with ambiguity, you can drive alignment, and you make thoughtful data-driven decisions. 

  • Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience.
    • 7+ years of industry ML experience
    • Experience as Tech Lead or Manger 
  • Preferred Qualifications:  
    • End-to-End experience building web-scale AI systems, feature stores, microservices
    • Background in one or more of the following areas of machine learning: recommendations, optimization, natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, LLMs, explainable AI
    • Experience building applications atop of IAAS (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud Services, etc.)
    • Experience working directly with cross-functional teams such as product management, analytics, engineering, and design.
    • Excellent communication skills — ability to succinctly communicate results and tell compelling stories with data to an out-of-domain audience (e.g. presenting findings and deep-dives to senior leadership).

Compensation range

  • $235,000-$300,000

    • Preference is GCP, but OK if you have 2 of the 3 

    • Experience in infrastructure automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform and equivalents. 

  • MUST BE PROFICIANT In Python

    • REGO is a nice to have 

  • Experience with containerization on Cloud, AKS or EKS (Dedicated/Managed/Serverless Kubernetes).

We seek a dynamic and experienced leader to join us as a Client Partnerresponsible for leading account specific strategies and creating expansion opportunities. 

As a Client Partner for the Public Sector Health & Human Services (HHS) practice, you will leverage your HHS industry experience and expertise to shape and execute business development efforts while being the trusted advisor our clients rely on. We are looking for a proactive team member to position Resultant as an innovator in existing public sector HHS clients, while providing some support for Resultant's expansion into new markets based on work delivered within your clients. Geographic preference is Indianapolis, IN or Denver, CO, but open to remote, as long as you are willing to travel on a regular basis.

  • Client Engagement:Remain informed of how our current work is progressing and how it connects to the client's mission and goals to find ways to extend and expand that work. 

  • Strategic Pricing and Risk Management: Drive the development and execution of pricing and risk strategies tailored to each client engagement. Ensure that pricing models align with both client expectations and Resultant’s value proposition, while carefully assessing and mitigating potential risks to protect project viability and long-term client relationships. Collaborate closely with internal teams to adapt pricing structures based on client-specific needs, ensuring transparency and value in every proposal. 

  • Relationship Building: Develop and manage key executive client relationships, acting as a customer advocate and relationship owner, cultivating strong trusted-advisor relationships with clients, and articulating the total value of Resultant as a partner. 

  • Referrals: Ensure our clients can act as referrals when asked and proactively seek to refer us to peers nationally. 

  • Long-Term Planning: Maintain a long-term outlook on the client relationship, anticipating client needs and managing a backlog of future projects across client buyers, champions, and participants.  Staying ahead of political, policy, and economic trends to maintain a successful client relationship. 

  • Sales Partnership:Confirm proper hand-off from sales (including client introductions) to delivery teams, partnering with our sales support teams as the go-to person to create account plans and execute sales strategies. 

  • Outcome Measurement:During the sales cycle, define the means of measuring outcome achievement (Intended Outcomes) to demonstrate the impact of our work. 

  • Thought Leadership: Promote Resultant's brand at conferences by speaking with our clients at industry events, participating in panels, and fostering national industry involvement through collaborative content like point of view articles, white papers, podcasts, and events. 

  • Client Understanding: Fully understand the client's mission, including their evolving short and long-term goals, to identify opportunities for growth. 

Qualifications

  • Experience:Minimum five years’ experience and background in the public sector HHS consulting field and revenue generation required. 

  • Industry Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of the government HHS landscape, procurement, public sector funding mechanisms, and the challenges facing government agencies. 

  • Client Relationship Management: Strong track record of building and maintaining executive-level client relationships and a deep understanding of client needs. 

  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure and associated solutions is a plus.  Experience selling large scale data and IT solutions at an enterprise level.

Role - Senior Performance Test Engineer 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute performance tests to measure application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, Loadrunner, or Neoload
  • Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Creating Performance test reports including associated metrics
  • Design end to end performance test strategy and test plan
  • Develop performance testing framework & data collection tools
  • Effective communication with the cross functional teams such as Development, Product, Business Analysts and SMEs to understand/clarify Non-Functional requirements
  • Understanding products and usage workflows for an effective performance analysis
  • Serve as a key member and will be responsible to deliver high-quality products.
  • Align the performance testing with the various SDLC/Agile methodologies and customer environment to make it successful
  • Able to take on leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of the Performance Testing effort, and its schedule and prioritization aligned as per Organization goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid 6-8 years of hands-on experience in using any of the performance testing tools such as  JMeter, Gatling, HP LoadRunner, Neo Load, Blaze Meter etc., with various protocols like HTTP/HTML, Web Services, MQ, Websocket etc. 
  • Extensive experience in end to end Performance Testing, Analysis, Troubleshooting and Optimization of large-scale enterprise systems
  • Strong understanding of performance testing concepts and various test types such as load testing, stress testing, endurance testing etc. 
  • Hands on Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, SumoLogic or Splunk
  • Proficiency in any of the scripting languages such as Java, Ruby, Python, Bash or Groovy
  • Good experience working in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Agile, CI/CD, DevOps environments
  • Hands on experience with Kubernetes clusters and pods
  • Experience with continuous integration tools (i.e. Jenkins, Travis)
  • Innovative skills to improve performance engineering and system scalability effectiveness
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret performance test results and identify areas for improvement
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams

 Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with open-source software
  • Linux OS system management experience
    • Ubuntu, RHEL, Amazon Linux, etc.
