1. Planifier le projet : La première fonction d’un Directeur de projet est de planifier le projet dans sa globalité en établissant des objectifs clairs et des échéances précises. Pour cela, il doit identifier les tâches nécessaires à la réalisation du projet, définir les ressources nécessaires (Delivery et Métier), évaluer les risques éventuels et mettre en place un planning détaillé.
2. Coordination de l’équipe : Le Directeur de projet est également responsable de la coordination de l’équipe. Il doit s’assurer que chaque membre de l’équipe dispose des moyens nécessaires pour mener à bien sa mission et que les échanges entre les membres de l’équipe sont fluides. Il doit également veiller à la communication régulière des informations relatives au projet auprès de chaque membre de l’équipe.
3. Contrôler le projet : le Directeur de projet doit contrôler le projet de manière régulière pour s’assurer que les objectifs du projet sont atteints. Le Directeur de projet s’assure que les coûts, délais et qualité fixés sont respectés. Il doit donc mettre en place des outils de suivi et de reporting qui permettent de mesurer l’avancement du projet et de détecter rapidement les éventuels écarts. En cas de dérive, il doit être capable de proposer des solutions pour réaligner le projet sur les objectifs initiaux.
4. Déployer et clôturer le projet : le Directeur de projet doit s’assurer dans la phase finale, que la solution du projet est exploitable par les équipes en charge de la maintenance et du maintien en conditions opérationnelles (MCO)
