What You Will Do:

The Creative Strategist supports VaynerCommerce growth engagement and performance teams on ensuring we’re leveraging real-time quantitative and qualitative insights to feed our creative execution. This role is highly cross-functional, collaborating closely with the growth and media teams to analyze and implement data-driven recommendations to improve outcomes for creative approach. Then working with Vayner Creators to execute that approach. Creative Strategists can stretch from briefing new visual productions to writing creative copy based on consumer research and performance insights.

 

You are the driver of a brand’s creative execution, continuously harnessing consumer behavior and industry trends into persuasive content. You should excel at:

  1. Identifying the aspects of a Brand that will most connect with a consumer’s needs to develop concepts that bridge the gap between a product and its core audience
  2. Writing copy that converts. Whether it’s in paid social ads or on the brand’s website, your writing is the first step in driving customer behavior
  3. Analyzing performance data to improve creative and develop hypotheses behind strategic best practices

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research our client’s existing creative, competitors, develop personas, and create Strategy Bibles that detail your research to the rest of the team.
  • Present and interface with clients - pitch creative ideas, work through feedback and create sprint plans. 
  • Drive clients creative strategy from ideation to execution
  • Develop and Write Post-Production briefs that align with the Strategic approach for each Brand. 
  • Review ads and provide feedback to Editors to create the best ads possible.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our client’s Brands, Brand Guides, and any Do’s/Don’ts that they provide to ensure the team has the correct approach.
  • Pull data outlining the performance of ads we have created and analyze the data to continue building out the proper strategic approach for our creative.

What We're Looking For:

  • Ideally 2-3 years of advertising experience, developing and creating for digital / social strategies + campaigns. Bachelor's degree a plus
  • An informed perspective of what makes good copy and how to connect to a diverse customer base
  • Demonstrated understanding of the marketing funnel and its application to paid social platforms (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Background in behavioral psychology and product strategy a plus

What You Will Do:

You are the Captain for a brand’s ongoing creative strategy. Constantly making course corrections and adjustments based on data to ensure that all of our creative performs at a high level. You have 5 key areas that you excel at:

  1. Understanding and defining the aspects of a Brand that will most connect with a consumer’s needs, and using that information to create ads that grab their attention.
  2. Writing copy that converts. Whether it’s in paid social ads, on a client’s website, or in ad text and headlines, your writing is the first step in converting the customer.
  3. Collaborating with Vayner Creators to make finely tuned creative and serving as the last line of quality control. 
  4. Recognizing trends in the data that highlight opportunities to improve creative and solve weaknesses in the funnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of a variety of clients' creative strategy and execution from ideation through post-production. 
  • Develop insights and deep analysis of creative performance across multiple platforms, and use these insights to inform future creative plans.
  • Work closely with post-production teams to execute the creative plan. Write briefs and copy for individual ads and ad text/headline, and provide detailed feedback to guide Editors in executing your briefs. 
  • Function as team’s subject matter expert and go-to leading authority on assigned clients
  • Collaborate with inter-agency departments and teams to develop a variety of content needs that meets creative and strategic criteria (client briefs, feedback, client KPIs, etc.), and delivers on measurable business results for your client

What You Will Do:

You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing email/SMS marketing programs to help our clients scale their business as well as support other holistic growth initiatives. You’ll develop email, and SMS communications for promotional, life-cycle, and transactional emails and work with the Growth team members to implement best practices in marketing communications and data.

 

Responsibilities:Responsibilities will vary depending on the accounts to which this role is staffed, but will typically include:

  • Retention Channels (Email / SMS / Direct Mail)
    • Partner with growth lead and creative team to brief, build, and optimize highly relevant, targeted, and personalized email marketing programs at scale, including behavioral triggers, lifecycle series, sales promotions, customer engagement, retention, and transactional emails.
    • Report on retention performance during client meetings with a focus on optimizations and strategies envisioned and deployed
    • Help to set up A/B tests, methodologies, hypotheses, and more.
    • Send campaign previews to stakeholders/clients and update campaigns with appropriate feedback.
    • Manage day-to-day maintenance of automated flows.
    • Optimize for user segmentation and content personalization by identifying user attributes, behavior, and preferences.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in developing and managing email marketing programs.
  • Experience in direct-to-consumer growth, touching various parts of the conversion funnel including acquisition, retention, and on-site performance
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to meet all deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions from data, make recommendations and then take action accordingly.
  • Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and outside-of-the-box thinker looking to tie programs to measurable business results
  • You’re hungry to learn, always looking for mentorship, and aren’t afraid to suggest new ideas.
  • Some experience in Klaviyo is desirable but not required.
  • Some experience with eCommerce platforms, such as Shopify, is desirable but not required.
