PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the team in our Global Business Solutions (GBS) center, conducts data processing in the analysis of EHS matrix samples in chemical lab. In particular, validates, calculates and reports lab results to strict quality and ethical standards.

REPORTING LINE

Operational direct reporting to Affiliate lab manager or supervisor; administrative accountability to GBS Supervisor.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • At all times, complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
  • Performs various data processing functions, including laboratory data calculations and integrations, quality control checks, LIMS entries, and other data management functions as required.
  • Ensures lab deadlines are met and the GBS Team Coordinator (or section Lab Manager in their absence) is notified immediately if the turnaround time specified cannot be met.
  • Ensures all testing methodology and quality control procedures are performed according to ISO17025 and assigned SGS lab standards where applicable.
  • Keeps Affiliate Manager, GBS Supervisor and any other key Affiliate personnel informed immediately of all operational issues, including:
    • Personnel matters affecting performance,
    • Failure to meet turnaround requirements,
    • Failure to meet ISO17025, country certifications and assigned SGS lab standards where applicable,
    • Inconsistencies in quality control procedures so they may be rectified immediately,
    • Additional training requirements identified.
  • Adopts and supports specific operational improvement activities as communicated by the GBS Team Lead. These projects will focus on the improvement of quality, efficiency, accreditation, communication and technical improvement.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all required analytical procedures in the section.
  • Looks for efficiency gains in your section by being aware of new technologies and reviewing existing procedure.
  • Able to respond to technical queries.
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goals or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.

Qualifications

PROFILE

Job Description

As an IVDR Product Assessor, you will use your skills as an expert in clinical diagnostic technologies to ensure that patients across Europe have access to safe and effective diagnostic tests. Join our rapidly growing team of regulatory professionals in helping the European healthcare ecosystem navigate the challenging transition to the new European In Vitro Diagnostics Regulation. 

Your role will be to assess in-vitro diagnostic medical devices for strict compliance with the relevant European laws (EU IVDR; Regulation 2017/746). You key task will be carrying out reviews of the manufacturers' technical documentation as part of the CE marking process. This will require a keen interest in and deep understanding of the product technologies being assessed, knowledge of the clinical application of the devices, as well as a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical file reviews against the EU In-vitro Diagnostics Regulation for Class A sterile, Class B and Class C devices within a defined timeframe, by verifying compliance of technical documentation submitted by manufacturers against the regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, document and seek to rectify instances where device technical files deviate from compliance with applicable requirements under the IVDR.
  • Provide support for CE marking activities within SGS, contribute to the training and qualification of junior staff, and develop comprehensive training materials.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders regarding product assessments, working diligently to minimize regulatory risks associated with in vitro diagnostic device certification.
  • Expand and keep up-to-date your knowledge of relevant technologies, regulations, international standards and best practice guidance documents. 

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced candidate with:

  • At least 4 years of professional experience within the domain of healthcare products or in related activities. This may include for example roles in design and development, manufacturing, auditing, relevant academic research, or work in a clinical setting.
    • Among these, a minimum of 2 years should involve direct engagement in the design, manufacture, testing or utilization of specific in-vitro diagnostic devices and technologies, or relevant scientific research
  • Knowledge encompassing a range of IVR/IVS/IVP/IVD competence codes for IVDR, as defined in Commission implementing regulation (EU) 2017/2185
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline such as medicine, engineering, biomedical science, microbiology or biochemistry.
  • Proficient communication skills using modern electronic platforms.
  • Strong written English skills, as reports will be reviewed and queried in English.
  • Demonstrated skills in independent learning.

Desirable Skills:

  • Direct experience with medical device development life cycle processes, regulatory submissions and relevant standards such as ISO 13485 and ISO 14971.
  • Experience with clinical studies and clinical performance evaluation of in-vitro diagnostic devices.
  • A broad base of experience covering a variety of different diagnostic assay types and technologies.
  • Prior experience in conducting product technical documentation assessments for another Conformity Assessment Body / Notified Body (technical file reviewer or equivalent role) would be considered advantageous.

連続3日程度の出張が月3回程度ございます。一週間の流れは月曜の午前はテレワーク、午後に移動(出張先は東海、近畿地方が多いです。)、火~木曜はお客様先で審査業務、そのまま夜に移動かもしくは金曜午前移動~自宅でレポート業務というパターンが多いです。

残業は月30時間程度です。

オンサイト審査(出張)以外はご自宅での業務が可能、出張先は東海・近畿地方が多い為、地方在住、Uターン希望の方の応募は大歓迎です。

The Site Reliability Engineer will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, supportability, scalability, and performance of our .NET stack applications built with ASP.NET MVC, Angular, and Web API.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required

Requisitos

  • Dominio de normativa de Construcción.
  • Dominio de programas AutoCAD, MS Office, Ms Project.
  • Habilidades de negociación, comunicación y trabajo en equipo.

Functie-eisen

Wat verwachten we van jou?
Om als technisch inspecteur goederen aan de slag te gaan heb je mbo+ werk en denkniveau. Bij voorkeur heb je een een technische opleiding gevolgd (dit is een grote pre).
Verder herken jij je in de volgende eigenschappen:

  • Je werkt nauwkeurig en hebt een scherp oog voor detail.
  • Je beheerst zowel de Nederlandse als Engelse taal, mondeling en schriftelijk.
