Job Description

The Systems Administrator is responsible for a broad range of tasks, including configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training, to ensure the firm's cloud services, infrastructure hardware, security posture and software remain resilient. This position provides timely response to escalated incidents and service requests related to Systems Engineering responsibilities and assists with projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Perform technical and operational support for the firm’s infrastructure hardware and software inventory.
  • Cloud Management: Provide support for cloud-based solutions including IaaS and SaaS platforms, with a major focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
  • User Support: Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, e-mail, chat, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
  • Account and Policy Management: Manage various aspects of Group Policy Objects (GPOs), User Accounts, and Distribution Lists.
  • Patching and Updates: Actively plan, coordinate, and execute software and operating system patching to the firm’s server environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT staff professionals on day-to-day tasks and special projects.
  • Monitoring: Monitor and administer the firm’s infrastructure monitoring tools to ensure the overall health of the environment.
  • Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and deduce resolve end-user and systems problems.
  • Escalation: Notify Systems Engineers and Manager of unresolved issues or problems with any network maintenance task.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong knowledge and troubleshooting experience with various types of endpoints, including hardware, network, operating systems, and software.
  • Strong knowledge working with Microsoft 365 and Azure Services.
  • Strong knowledge of administering Windows Sever and Exchange/Exchange online in a hybrid environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, EntraID, Fileshares, DNS and DHCP.
  • Intermediate knowledge of patch management and software deployment with tools such as Intune, or Microsoft SCCM.
  • Intermediate knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere.
  • Intermediate knowledge of virtual desktop technologies such as Citrix or AVD.
  • Basic knowledge of utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) such as BICEP.
  • Basic knowledge of Azure Arc and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
  • Basic knowledge of Voice technologies including, VOIP, SIP and PSTN.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL Foundations and it’s practical application.
  • Working experience with using an ITSM tool such as ServiceNow or RemedyForce to manage tickets.

  • Ability to create and maintain user accounts, computer objects, distribution lists and provide escalated customer support.

The Conflicts Analyst supports the firm’s risk management need and new business function by collecting necessary information to perform thorough and accurate conflict of interest checks on lateral attorney hiring and proposed new representations. The Analyst is responsible for review and analysis of new matter requests and conflicts information related to firm acceptance of lateral hiring and new matters. The Analyst also assists with the resolution of conflicts issues, and may assist the firm’s Conflicts Attorneys and Senior Conflicts Counsel with conflicts review associated with special projects, such as bankruptcies. 

Workweek Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. ET or CT time. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzes information provided with new matter requests for compliance with firm policies and applicable rules of professional responsibility.
  • Reviews conflict of interest reports for lateral hires and new firm matters to confirm no potential conflicts problems or to identify conflicts problems in need of resolution.
  • Assists conflicts attorneys with resolution strategies and outreach to impacted attorneys within the firm.
  • Reviews engagement letters for new clients to ensure compliance with firm templates, as well as the inclusion of special language as needed.
  • Reviews new matter scope communications to ensure compliance with firm policies and risk management concerns.
  • Assists Conflicts Director, Manager and Assistant Manager with the training of new Conflicts Information Specialists and Conflicts Analysts, as well as ongoing training regarding procedures, process updates, and changes due to software changes, application changes, technical upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Assists Conflicts Director and Conflicts Attorneys with issues associated with special projects, such as bankruptcies, lateral groups, or ethics walls.
  • Participates in testing, development, and analytic activities associated with the Conflicts Department’s implementation and upgrade of electronic tools, software, applications, and new electronic processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The ServiceNow Platform Engineer is responsible for the development, management, and growth of the ServiceNow platform within the firm. The Engineer will lead technical efforts to ensure the platform aligns with the firm's business strategy across all US and International offices. The role will also provide consultative technical leadership to the ServiceNow platform's third-party vendor team, maintaining a detailed view of the existing architecture, and designing, developing, configuring, and customizing ServiceNow applications and services. The Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining and continually improving the implemented modules, including ITSM, ITFM, HRSD, ITOM, and SPM. Additionally, the Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers, configures, and maintains the ServiceNow platform, focusing on IT Service Management (ITSM) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) applications.
  • Manages out-of-the-box functionality and perform necessary enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Develops and implements fixes for bugs and issues in ServiceNow production for ITSM and SPM.
  • Creates and modifies forms, fields, and workflows according to requirements.
  • Oversees change control and coordinates the release management process for ServiceNow.
  • Builds dashboards and reports for IT Management and firm leadership.
  • Reports on and manages data within the ServiceNow platform including imports and exports, ensuring data integrity and security.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) principles.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting modules like Client Scripts, UI Policies, Business Rules, etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell Web service proficiency (REST, SOAP) as well as XML and JSON is preferred.
  • Develops and maintains queries against  Microsoft SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL, to prepare reporting statistics (KPIs) and status reports
  • Knowledge of ITIL (Change, Incident, Problem Management), hardware and software asset management, and ticketing systems.
  • Proficient working with ServiceNow components such as Automated Discovery Tool, Service Catalog, Discovery and Knowledge management is a requirement
  • ITIL v3 Foundations certification minimum or working knowledge of the ITSM/ ITIL Framework  is a requirement
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Implementation Specialist is preferred.
