Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps is an engineering discipline that combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, distributed and fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Blockchain’s services are reliable and available to meet our users and the business needs, and delivers a fast rate of improvement while keeping an ever-watchful eye on capacity and performance.

At Blockchain, SRE is also a mindset and a set of engineering approaches to running better production systems—we build our own creative engineering solutions to operations problems. SREs are responsible for the big picture of how our systems are designed for operability, how they relate to each other, and we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad spectrum of problems. The Risk Manager position is a hands-on, high impact role that will require experience in Enterprise risk management, specifically in the financial services industry.  The risk manager will be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of an enterprise-wide risk strategy that accommodates the operational, legal, market, credit, regulatory, and technology risks of the various businesses at Blockchain.com.

Role:

The Senior SAR Analyst supports the Compliance program for Blockchain’s EU and Rest of the World operations, which focuses on financial crime compliance (e.g., SAR drafting, CTR reporting, QA) and also includes other compliance requirements (e.g., regulators’ requests, governance, etc.).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Support in driving SAR reporting team and ensure the team meets up reporting targets
• Manage the inbound and outbound backlog of work and requests between Compliance and Financial Crime Investigation Service (FCIS/FNTT)
• Conduct a review of prepared material about detected transaction monitoring alerts for incoming and outgoing transactions
• Support in drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
• Report suspicious financial activity to the authorities
• Follow up on reporting of Currency Transaction Reporting (CTRs) to the authorities
• Liaise with official authorities for their investigations, support in preparing the responses to authorities
• Establish Quality Assurance program and provide Quality Assurance reviews on other team member’s work
• Advise on process and technology improvements related to transaction monitoring, reporting to FCIS

• Address ad hoc projects or requests under the Head of Compliance Operations’ guidance

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• 5+ years of support experience, 2+ years in a leadership role, preferably in crypto or Web3.

We’re looking to hire a Team Lead for our Fraud Prevention & Account Safety team, a group dedicated to safeguarding our customers and maintaining the integrity of our services. Your team will be the first line of defense to ensure that funds flowing through our platform are legitimate transactions, minimize fraud passing through our platform, and help to ensure vulnerable customers are protected from scams and bad actors. This is a hybrid role, based in our office in Vilnius, Lithuania. 

As Team Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in steering our team towards success and making a lasting impact. Here's how you'll make a difference:

• Collaborate across teams including Compliance, Product, Finance, and Customer Success to align objectives and address fraud risks across different projects and products. 
• Develop and execute a strategic vision for Fraud operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Guide team in deciphering patterns and trends indicative of fraudulent behaviors, enabling proactive monitoring and detection.
• Uphold team's reporting standards, quality measures, and service level agreements.
• Oversee operational processes, optimizing workflows and implementing new strategies to tackle challenges.

Requirements 

• At least 3 years prior experience within Banking, Finance or FinTech,with strong understanding of and experience with fraud detection approaches and methodologies using analytical tools and techniques

• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to transform raw data into a captivating narrative and strategic vision tailored for executive-level stakeholders. 
• SQL skills are a major plus.
