We’re looking for a skilled security professional to join our North American team, helping to strengthen our security posture during an exciting phase of strategic transformation, from  single-product company to a multi-solution provider.

Playing a pivotal role in enhancing our security framework as we expand our portfolio and global presence, this position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to Akur8's growth and evolution.

At the forefront of safeguarding Akur8’s systems and data, your key contributions will include ensuring compliance with top security standards (such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001), embedding security protocols across projects, and collaborating with teams to identify and address potential risks. 

You’ll take ownership of operational security, designing, implementing, and monitoring protocols to protect our IT infrastructure and assets.

Finally, as this is a cross-functional position, you’ll also support our commercial teams in responding to  information security requests, helping ensure that customer concerns are promptly addressed. 

As a CyberSecurity & IT  Engineer, your typical set of missions shall be:

  • To maintaining compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001 (i.e Internal Audits, developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and guidelines…).
  • Addressing security related customer inquiries in collaboration with the Sales dept.
  • Help managing the internal IT operations for Akur8’s offices in North America
  • Acting as the liaison between the company's security team and its North American operations.
  • Conducting risk assessments for new projects to ensure appropriate security controls are in place.
  • Integrating security measures into ongoing projects and mitigating potential risks (via collaboration with cross-functional teams);
  • Conducting security assessments of third-party vendors, suppliers, and partners to evaluate their compliance with established security policies, regulations, contracts, and industry best practices.
  • Lead training sessions to educate employees on security best practices (inc. phishing prevention / other forms of cyberattacks);

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT:

The successful candidate must meet each of the following criteria in order to be considered for this position:

  • At least 4 years experience in an Information Security position (post-graduate);
  • Proven track record in maintaining SOC 2 compliance frameworks / ISO 27001 security standards / applying security best practices & industry regulations;

  • A comprehensive understanding of Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Security Compliance, Security of SaaS Applications;
  • Experience in Security Incident Detection & Response;
  • Experience with IT management tools and practices (e.g., SSO, MDM, MacOS) (Build);
  • Broad experience in IT management and operational tasks. (Run);

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical and functional matters with diverse audiences (both client and internal);
  • Eagerness to learn and discover new topics;
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;

  • Fluent spoken & written English.

Akur8 is looking for a Marketing Manager for the US market, to join our Marketing team to support our growth by taking full ownership of major marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

Digital Marketing & Content Management

You will be based in our New York office, but traveling frequently for events.

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support our growing company across all legal matters, with a strong emphasis on international SaaS contracts.

You will work closely with the Head of Legal & DPO and collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth legal processes across various geographies. An important asset for this role is fluency in Spanish, which will be critical for negotiating contracts with clients in Latin America. Your role will cover a wide range of legal topics, including commercial, corporate, compliance, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Contracts:

   - Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS contracts, NDAs, and Partnership Agreements, particularly for international clients.

   - Provide legal advice and support during contract negotiations, especially for cross-border matters (FR, US, UK, Japan, Canada, Latin America).

2. Procurement Contracts:

   - Review and negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards across the different countries in which we operate.

3. Legal Ops:

   - Assist the Head of Legal in modernizing the legal department through the implementation of CLM) tools, AI-powered solutions, and other innovative legal technologies to improve efficiency and streamline processes.

4. Data Privacy & Compliance:

   - Collaborate with the DPO on innovative topics related to data protection and compliance, and support ongoing initiatives in these areas.




We're looking for an analytical and synthetic mindset, and :

  • 3-5 years of experience as a legal counsel in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment, ideally with exposure to international operations.
  • Proven expertise in SaaS contracts and international commercial law.
  • A curious and fast learner who enjoys navigating dynamic, evolving environments and quickly absorbing new information.

As part of our growing sales team, you will be focusing, helping to develop and scale our business on the UK & Irish markets.

Your key objective will be to identify potential customers and lead the sales process in order to build a network of leads, and sign contracts in your territory.

  • You have demonstrable experience of constructing and mastering the sales strategy for complex deep-tech SaaS products. You are able to define for all your opportunities a specific closing plan with clear proactive actions, also to forecast accurately your yearly revenue
  • You are able not only to work individually and be autonomous, but also collaboratively (in dedicated territorial sales teams)
  • You possess excellent communication skills, whether oral, written, or non-verbal, in English and you know how to make complex things feel simple

We’re looking for Senior Full-Stack Software Engineers, working in majority on Backend, that have a strong interest in both cloud-computing & AI in order to help build our complex SAAS solution alongside our world-class tech teams.

Our Engineering team is the driving force behind an exhilarating development journey, sculpting the gold standard in insurance pricing software according to our ambitious development roadmap. 

You are an experienced Software Engineer with strong Backend expertise, with a client-first approach that will help us build our complex data-processing solution. You have an objective-driven mindset and you have proactivity solving problems that matter for our deliveries and to our clients . You possess a sharp curiosity to understand both the smallest details, and the general purpose of the features being developed. Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Design and implement features that allow actuaries to better understand their pricing strategies.
  • Develop both Frontend and Backend components using Angular, Java and Python.
  • Implement high-performance responsive user interfaces.

Becoming an Actuarial Data Scientist is the ideal opportunity to influence the usage of cutting edge advanced machine learning technology in the insurance industry and to have a visible effect on the product roadmap of one of the world’s foremost insurtech companies.

This position interacts with our Sales, Product and R&D departments in various ways. As an Actuarial Data Scientist, you will act as a subject matter expert, assisting the sales team to find the best use cases for Akur8’s software to provide the highest value to each client’s unique business practices.

You will also work with the Product team to recommend new features that might benefit our clients, and also with our R&D team to explore new applications of machine learning in the insurance industry.

You will be in direct technical reference with client contacts such as Heads of Pricing, Heads of Product, CTOs, Actuaries and Data Scientists.

You will lead product demonstrations with various audiences and oversee Akur8 proof of concept projects in an actuarial consultant type of role.

In addition to these technical client-facing responsibilities, you’ll also be able to impact on the design of product training, improvement of model development, as well as leading technical after-sales projects by providing modeling and actuarial support during sessions with clients.

Finally, you’ll also contribute to white papers and participate in / present at conferences to establish the leadership of Akur8 in France and other markets.

You’ll be attached to our Paris office, and traveling for business events will be required (approximately one week per month).

The successful candidate must meet each of the following criteria in order to be considered for this position:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a P&C / General / Health insurance pricing role as a Pricing Actuary, Actuarial Consultant or Data Scientist (it is, however, important to stress that even if the role is deeply technical, no coding is involved, with the emphasis being rather on model development) ;
  • Ability to understand insurance business imperatives and establish solutions in accordance with them ;
  • A strong understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning techniques for predictive modeling ;
  • Experience in actuarial data-driven predictive modeling (GLMs / GAMs) & risk analysis in a P&C / General insurance pricing role ;

Our Engineering team is the driving force behind an exhilarating development journey, sculpting the gold standard in insurance pricing software according to our ambitious development roadmap.

We’re looking for curious Full Stack Software Engineers to help us accelerate and deliver our E2E pricing platform vision, by expanding on our modeling platform to provide a live-rating solution that will move our clients closer to their customers.

As a member of a growing task force responsible for the new offering/product, your main responsibility will be to participate in both the architecture and development of new features on the AKUR8 platform, where the business logic, on both the front- and back-ends, can be complex and the volume of processed data considerable. 

Key differentiators such as performance, speed and user experience are integral to our software, making us proud of what we deliver and at the same time keeping us on our toes with a range of challenging technical topics, such as:  

  • Website responsiveness and modern UX/UI
  • Async / concurrent processes
  • Computation optimization, at times with very low-latency requirements

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to and participate in internal workshops, to continuously improve the engineering culture at Akur8, and in the recruitment of new Engineering talents.

Our back-end today runs on Python 3.11+/FastAPI/SQLAlchemy and uses PostgreSQL as its main storage solution. The front-end is developed on Angular 18, with NgRx & Tailwind, and we use Playwright for e2e test automation and Storybook for UI testing and documentation. All of our infrastructure is maintained in Terraform and hosted on AWS, leveraging managed services for caching (Redis), messaging, storing/hosting Docker containers etc… We value developer experience and strive to remain on top of technology to open up possibilities for innovation.

We're looking for an innovative and rigorous mind that has a solid technical background and a track record of helping their team grow, possessing the following attributes :

  • Master Degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science from a French top engineering school (such as Polytechnique, Telecom, Centrale Supelec, etc.)
  • At least four years of experience as a software engineer
  • Deep knowledge on at least one part of our tech stack, be it back-end development in Python or front-end with Angular/Typescript and Redux frameworks
  • Experience developing features involving large volumes of data and optimizing architecture
  • A desire to produce good quality code & a sound knowledge of software development best practices
  • Understanding of client priorities & the need to find the right balance between fast delivery and code robustness
  • A fluent level of spoken English

Solid professional experience with 

  • complex and modern user interfaces (CSS)
  • PostgreSQL / RDBMS
  • Real-time / low-latency systems
