WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

In a nutshell, you'll be working within one of our amazing Community Management team on a massive range of projects and brands (go on, have a Google, we work with the biggest brands in the world!).

The teams are involved from the start of a brief right through to output including ideations, project development, client and campaign management, community (social media) management insights and analysis.

You’ll learn all about life at a social transformation company, will support the teams and will get the chance to contribute with your own ideas, creativity and passion.

Role

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Project Specialist to join our community team in Australia, on a Part-Time basis, working 3 days per week. This will be a 12-month fixed term maternity cover contract.

The Project Specialist will take the lead on ensuring fundamental data is captured to report on the business performance.  This will include all project scopes, inter-office collaboration / movement of workload across heads, timesheets and third-party costs (including media, partners and freelancers).

You will be responsible for producing monthly reports, analysis and commentary of individual, departmental and projects data to the snr management team and the Group Commercial Manager.

On a regular basis you will meet with Management to discuss utilisation and business performance, and work collaboratively to identify areas for process improvement and development.

A sound and fundamental understanding of how a modern marketing agency operates, and working knowledge of the general marketing campaign process is important in this role. 

Role

Commercial

  • Have an advanced level of commercial awareness – you will be able to confidently present and discus commercial and financial topics (eg. P/L, utilisation and margin)
  • Support and relay client project information (eg. SOW, project burn-rates) on an ongoing basis. Produce and present burn reports to management as needed.
  • Support resource management attuned to commercial realities of the business
  • Translating output from resource management tools (such as Workbook and People Allocation Dashboard) into resource planning actions
  • Support account teams to deliver on agency servicing level goals by highlighting process inefficiency and working with the team to implement new processes
  • Ensure timesheets are completed, and regularly review to ensure accuracy

Project

  • From the brief onward, you will support the wider team to define the project scope, estimating time and level of required resource, design and own project plans, creating and monitoring budgets, ensuring activities occur according to plan
  • Ensure client is kept informed of progress of projects as required (via Project Lead) and that client expectations are set and met appropriately in all instances, where delays are unavoidable keeping the Client informed of the reasons behind these
  • Work efficiently to help manage the trafficking of client services, insights, creative, production & digital deliverables through the agency to minimise cost, improve efficiency and avoid compromising either the Agency or Client financially
  • On-going collaboration with the team to identify any ways of improving the project processes, examining existing structure against Client needs identifying areas for improvement within the process going forward
  • Contribute to Debrief reports at the end of every project - identifying ways of improving similar projects in the future with the senior team
  • Oversee project finance management by approving expenses, creating POs, managing freelancer tracking, creating, reviewing and ensuring alignment with client SOWs, conducting monthly reporting and project updates, and ensuring all team and requests are addressed.
  • Keep all parties informed on work progress, anticipate changes and communicate these quickly assigning remedial action and accompanying deadlines as required
  • Create mid-term and long-term project roadmaps where appropriate

Responsibilities

The range of projects the Strategist may take on is broad.   • Previous content creation experience, especially on TikTok, whether for a brand or yourself
  • Previous experience working within an agency or brand setting strong advantage
  • An impressive understanding of social media, especially trends, and the value it can offer our brands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you should speak the language of the internet
  • An eye for creative content: both written and visual and know the nuances of social media formats; outside of TikTok creation skills (a must), a knowledge of graphic design and animation are nice to haves for any meme-style graphics we want to develop in response to cultural trends
  • Excellent organisational, time management & people management skills
  • The ability to work under pressure whilst keeping an eye on the finer details
  • Proficiency in using a wide variety of social platforms and tools that are used to drive efficiency within the accounts we work
  • Desire to bring your creativity to life for some of the world’s biggest brands!

Role Responsibilities 

  • Ideating and pitching engaging short-form video, photo, and text content to charge our organic social-first strategies, across TikTok primarily but also Instagram, Facebook, and all relevant social platforms
  • Top-to-bottom content production capabilities, from ideation all the way through to shooting, editing, copywriting and publishing
  • Staying on top of trends every day and being able to turn a social trend into an idea within hours
  • Stimulating and sustaining conversations and relationships with a brand’s audience through on-the-pulse community management
  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of editorial calendars and creative campaigns
  • Building strong relationships with clients and identifying business development opportunities
  • Offering strategic thinking, creative spark, and commercial understanding to develop plans
  • Researching the latest social tools, platforms and trends – and working to ensure that we are the first to innovate and experiment
  • Delivering reports, performance tracking & trend analysis to clients
  • Remaining culturally attuned and constantly challenging the team and our clients with new opportunities for innovation across the industry and tech-space
  • Feeding into campaign planning and responses in a strategic and activation capacity

Salary Range: $65k-80k
